Connect through MCP

Plug Luria into Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP client in two minutes, then ask it for heatmaps, recordings, results, what to test next and ad pages.

plain textupdated 2026-10-28

Luria is an MCP server. Add one URL to the AI tool you already use, sign in once, and that tool can read everything your dashboard shows and run the same actions you can.

The URL is the same everywhere:

https://www.luriart.com/api/mcp

What you'll need

  • A Luria account (made in onboarding, or on the spot during the sign-in below).
  • The email you use for Luria. Sign-in is a link sent to that email, no password.

No key to copy. Signing in gives the AI tool its own key, listed in the dashboard under Settings, API key, where you can revoke it any time.

Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop)

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Press Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Luria. Paste https://www.luriart.com/api/mcp as the URL. Leave the OAuth fields empty; Claude fills them in on its own.
  4. Press Add, then Connect. A luriart.com page opens: sign in with your email and press Allow.

Claude now shows "Connected to Luria". In any chat, turn the Luria connector on and ask away.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings, then Plugins (some accounts call it Apps or Connectors).
  2. Press Add, then Add custom MCP server.
  3. Name it Luria, URL https://www.luriart.com/api/mcp, authentication OAuth. Tick the box that says you trust the server and press Create.
  4. Press Connect. The luriart.com page opens: sign in with your email and press Allow.

ChatGPT shows the server as connected. Start a chat, pick Luria in the tools menu and ask. It works on the Free plan too; deep research can use Luria's search and fetch tools.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http luria https://www.luriart.com/api/mcp

Type /mcp, pick luria, sign in with your email and press Allow. If it later says "Needs authentication", do the same /mcp step again.

Cursor, Codex, Windsurf and other MCP clients

Add a remote MCP server with the URL above (Streamable HTTP). Cursor's mcp.json entry:

{ "mcpServers": { "luria": { "url": "https://www.luriart.com/api/mcp" } } }

Any client that cannot do OAuth sends a key instead: make one in the dashboard under Settings, API key and add the header Authorization: Bearer lk_....

Check it works

Ask: "Call setup_status and tell me what it says." The answer names your account tier and the next steps. Then ask "Give me my site report." The visitor and order numbers must match your dashboard; they come from the same place.

What to ask it

  • How the site is doing: "How is my site doing, what is working and what is not?" (site_report)
  • Heatmaps: "Where do people click and rage-click on my product page on phones?" (heatmaps)
  • Session recordings: "Show me visits that added to cart and left, as stories." (recordings, recording)
  • The averages: "What have you learned from all my recorded visits, and where is the biggest drop?" (learned)
  • Split tests: "List my running tests, who is ahead and how sure." (list_tests, get_test) "Keep the winner." (change_test)
  • What to test next: "What should I test next, and start the top one." (next_tests, start_next_test) Or "Write and start a test on my product page." (auto_test)
  • Ad pages: "Make a landing page for my best Meta ad." (list_ads, create_page) "Pin version B and send it to the ad." (change_page, send_page_to_meta)
  • Set-up: "Add my site, give me the tag, check it is live." (add_site, verify_install)

Tools that only read say so to the client, so Claude and ChatGPT can call them without asking. Anything that changes your site (a new test, a page sent to Meta) is a tool you ask for in words, and a price test still waits for your tick in the dashboard. The full list with ready-to-paste prompts is on Connect Claude; the same calls exist as REST at luriart.com/llms.txt.

Common failures

  • No sign-in page opened. Your browser blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for the tool and press Connect again.
  • The agent sees the wrong sites, or none. You signed in with a different email. Revoke that key under Settings, API key, disconnect Luria in the tool, connect again with the right email.
  • "Needs authentication" or "unauthorized". The key was revoked or the sign-in expired. Reconnect (Claude Code: /mcp; Claude and ChatGPT: disconnect and connect again).
  • A key you made over the API is refused. Keys made by another key are limited to the REST API. Use OAuth, or a key made in the dashboard.
  • The tool is connected but does nothing. Turn Luria on in that chat's tools menu, and ask for the thing by name ("site report", "heatmaps").

Still stuck? Email hello@luriart.com with the tool's name and what it said.
